Twenty-three LLCC student athletes earn 4.0 GPA
Lincoln Land Community College student athletes are finding success on the field and court, while making major strides in the classroom. During the fall 2024 semester, 23 student athletes earned a 4.0 grade point average, 32 student athletes earned a 3.5 or higher and 23 student athletes earned a 3.0 or higher. Five teams maintained a 3.0 or better during the spring 2024 semester.
With a combined GPA of 3.38, athletic programs have set a new benchmark, proving the institution’s commitment to fostering both athletic and academic achievement. This accomplishment reflects the dedication of LLCC’s student-athletes, coaching staff and efforts of the athletic retention program, student success advisors and academic support staff.
“What an accomplishment by our LLCC student-athletes,” said Diana Couch, LLCC director of athletics. “It is quite the feat to achieve such tremendous success both on and off the field. We are so proud of our student athletes and their hard work. This is a great example of the culture of academic success that our coaches, faculty and academic support staff promote at LLCC. This new semester cumulative GPA raises the bar for academic success.”
“I congratulate our Logger athletes on their stellar academic achievements,” said Shanda Byer, LLCC vice president of student services. “It takes dedication and focus to be a college athlete and to also excel academically. The hard work of the athletes, along with that of the faculty and staff that support them, raised the bar this term. I am proud of what they’ve accomplished and look forward to seeing the continued commitment to academics for our Loggers.”

Thank you to Welcome Week volunteers!
LLCC Student Life Office is grateful to everyone who helped us during the January welcome events! We would not have been able to serve up all of the food, crafts, and games without you. And students wouldn’t have felt nearly as much positive energy and excitement kicking off the semester!
Thanks to those who emailed with offers to help and those who jumped in when you were walking by and saw a need. This is truly a giving community! Although many more volunteered in various ways, Student Life would like to extend a special thanks to: Sarah Beggs, Mackenzie Bryant, Lisa Clanton, Kathi Frieden, Angela Try, Amanda Turner, and Kim Williams-Wilson
