BSU hosts Haircut Wednesday

The LLCC Black Student Union is hosting Haircut Wednesday for our LLCC students in A. Lincoln Commons today. Let students know that they can stop by and receive a free haircut from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Flags at half-staff

The U.S. flag and the state flag are being flown at half-staff until sunset Friday, Jan. 18 in honor of Illinois State Trooper Christopher Lambert.

CQI session coming up Feb. 8!

Welcome to spring semester!

We welcome students as spring semester weekday classes begin today! Volunteers will be assisting at the welcome table in A. Lincoln Commons,  helping answer students’ questions and providing directions.

Congratulations to the Center for Academic Success!

Congratulations to the LLCC Center for Academic Success for successful recertification of the peer tutoring program! The College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) acknowledges excellence in peer tutoring programs in post-secondary educational institutions by awarding the International Tutor Training Program (ITTP) Certification which will remain valid for three years. ITTP certification requires comprehensive documentation of all aspects of tutor training and includes a rigorous peer review process.

Mileage reimbursement rates

Starting Jan. 1, 2019, the college will follow the GSA rates for both the reimbursement rates. Employees that drive their personal vehicles will be reimbursed .58 cents per mile when a college vehicle was unavailable.  Employees that drive their personal vehicles will be reimbursed .20 cents per mile when a college vehicle was available. These rates will be adjusted annually.
