Each semester, LLCC tests its emergency alert system called LLCC ALERT. LLCC ALERT allows the college to communicate with you by text, phone and email in an emergency, as well as for severe weather and other closures. Current employees and students are automatically enrolled in LLCC ALERT.

The next test will take place today, Sept. 4, 2019, at approximately 11 a.m. You will receive a test message from LLCC ALERT.

We encourage you to visit www.llcc.edu/alert and log in with your LLCC username and password to check your current contact information and manage how you receive emergency notifications. LLCC ALERT uses the information about you currently stored in the college’s Colleague system, and this information may need updating. Please add your office phone number if it is not listed, and make any other revisions needed.

“The Clouds of Utopia” book signing tomorrow

The clouds of utopia. David SykesThe LLCC Press and LLCC Bookstore will host former Professor of Physics Dave Sykes for a book signing in A. Lincoln Commons on Thursday, Sept. 5 from 2-4 p.m. Dave will be signing copies of his book titled “The Clouds of Utopia” published earlier this year by the LLCC Press with the cover designed by Greg Walbert, graphic design manager. Come by and get your signed copy for a reduced price of $15 during this event.

Phi Theta Kappa parking spot raffle

Enter the Phi Theta Kappa parking spot raffle to win your very own exclusive parking spot! Tickets will be sold today through Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Phi Theta Kappa table in A. Lincoln Commons. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. The winning ticket will be drawn on Friday, Sept. 6 at 2:15 p.m.

The Phi Theta Kappa parking spot is located at the southeast corner of Menard Hall. The winner will be able to park in this reserved spot for the fall and spring semesters.
