Deposits due noon on Monday to Finance Department

The deadline to submit your deposits to the Finance Department is Monday, Nov. 24 before noon. As a reminder, if you’ve taken in funds, it is necessary to submit them and corresponding deposit slips to the Finance Department on a daily basis.

Controlled prairie burns planned Friday at Springfield campus

The LLCC Facilities Services department plans to conduct controlled burns in the prairie areas on the Springfield campus Friday, Nov. 21 as weather permits. The burns will be conducted on the upper prairie on the north side of Menard Hall, the west side of the Workforce Careers Center and on both sides of the entrance to campus. In case of inclement weather, the burns will be rescheduled.

The burns have been approved by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.

In the community: LLCC-J traveling theatre

LLCC-Jacksonville’sw1 Cast & KB1 traveling theatre, under the direction of Ken Bradbury, hits the road Thursday, Nov. 20 for a four-day tour to 16 elementary schools in the three-county area. Hundreds of students will learn a very meaningful message in this cheerful and musical play.

LLCC-Jacksonville’s “Students With Disabilities” class hosted its second allannual Fall Festival the evening of Nov. 13. Five through 11-year-olds from the Illinois School for the Deaf and the Educational Day Care Center were invited to participate in the games and activities.
