Lingo Bingo with Financial Aid. Monday, February 17, Menard Hall Atrium, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Financial Aid Awareness Month. Free hot cocoa and prizes.
Encourage students to put their financial aid knowledge to the test for a chance to win free prizes and enjoy a hot cocoa bar with tasty treats! LLCC Financial Aid staff will also be on hand to help students complete the 2025-26 FAFSA and review their financial aid.

Join Us for the Heart Safety Expo, Feb. 19

heart with a stethascopeIn observance of Heart Health Month, we’re excited to invite you to the Heart Safety Expo — an event dedicated to raising awareness about heart health and providing valuable resources to support your wellbeing. The expo takes place Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the LLCC Student Union.

Local vendors in attendance:

  • Amy Giles with Fit-Mind Body
  • Angie Ryan with Balance Yoga
  • Jan Dowell, LLCC Culinary adjunct instructor and registered dietician
  • Amy Wiese with Prairie Heart Institute
  • Stephanie Carson with the Gateway Foundation

Plus:

  • Get a blood pressure check from LLCC nursing students.
  • Watch an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) demo given by an LLCC EMS student.
  • Get a chair massage from an LLCC Massage Therapy student (massages available from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on a first come, first served basis).

Those in attendance can also enter to win a variety of prizes such as:

  • Yoga equipment

Calm appJoin Kellee Phillips, student care coordinator, TODAY in the commons lounge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a day of wellness and inspiration! Students can make bracelets, color or journal and sign up for a FREE subscription to the Calm App. There will be mental health & wellness resources for students to take, and the student care cart will be in attendance as well! Encourage your students to stop by, take a break for their wellness, and partake in some healthy coping skills!

KUDOS nominations are open

Lincoln Land Community College KUDOS: Key or Unique Demonstrations of Outstanding ServiceKey or Unique Demonstrations of Outstanding Service award nominations are open! They will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 21. Faculty and staff can nominate a deserving colleague by submitting the KUDOS form (also available by clicking on the KUDOS tab in the upper-right corner of LincIn). The KUDOS awards will be announced on Friday, March 7.

The KUDOS awards are an informal way to recognize the special contributions — small and large — made by faculty and staff that create the positive environment that is LLCC.
