Condolences to Michael and Jennifer Ramm
We extend our condolences to Michael and Jennifer Ramm, professors of chemistry, on the passing of Michael’s mother, Susan Ramm. Susan was an alumna and long-time employee of LLCC. She retired with 23 years of service to the college in academic advising, counseling and the Women’s Center. Visitation and services are planned for June 1. Read the obituary.

Congratulations to Kristin King
LLCC Respiratory Care offers congratulations to Kristin King, MHS-CDS-RT, RRT, adjunct instructor, on her successful completion of her master’s degree from the University of Missouri. On top of earning her master’s degree, Kristin also completed a college teaching certificate. Congratulations, Kristin!

LLCC Open House, Tuesday, June 18
Prospective students interested in starting or restarting college or training for a new career are invited to visit LLCC for an open house on Tuesday, June 18, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will be held at LLCC’s Springfield campus and at Outreach Centers in Jacksonville, Litchfield and Taylorville.
“Start here at LLCC, whether you are looking to earn a degree, train for a hands-on career or add new skills,” says LLCC President Charlotte Warren, Ph.D. “Join us at our summer open house to explore majors, our low cost and personalized services that help students reach their goals.”
Visitors can check in at the event information tent and then follow signs to various areas on campus including LLCC Health Professions, Workforce Institute and Kreher Agriculture Center, where they can speak with faculty and staff, view exhibits. learn how to enroll and pay for college, and apply for admission. The event will also feature an outdoor cookout, DJ and student life activities.

More volunteers needed to work the Welcome Week table, June 3-6
LLCC Public Relations and Marketing would appreciate your assistance during summer Welcome Week! PRM is looking for volunteers to assist at the welcome table in A. Lincoln Commons June 3-6 during the first week of summer classes.
Help students get a great start to their summer schedule by greeting them, answering their questions, providing directions and encouraging them to stop by the Welcome Week events hosted by LLCC Student Life! An FAQ reference sheet will be on the table along with highlighters to help in marking students’ routes to their classes.
