Funeral Arrangements for Tony Young

Our condolences go out to the family of Tony Young, a former adjunct instructor in LLCC’s Truck Driver Training program who unexpectedly passed away on Oct. 30, 2024. Tony spent the past twenty years as a CDL examiner with the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, continuing to work closely with the LLCC program.

Funeral services and visitation are Thursday,  Nov. 7 at Union Baptist Church, 1405 East Monroe Streeet in Springfield. Read the obituary online.

We extend our sympathy to Bill Harmon, professor, agriculture and Brianna VanMeter, recruitment specialist on the passing of Elmer Harmon of Taylorville. Elmer is the father of Bill and grandfather of Brianna. A memorial service is scheduled for Oct. 19 in Taylorville. Condolences to Carrie Jacobs

We extend our sympathy to Carrie Jacobs, administrative assistant to the dean of health professions, on the passing of her mother, Betty Mabe, of Lexington, South Carolina. The family is suggesting that donations be made in honor of Mrs. Mabe through the Alzheimer’s Association. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
