Lincoln Land Community College is closed for mid-semester break Saturday, March 8 through Sunday, March 16. No classes will be held, and administrative offices at the Springfield campus and outlying locations in the LLCC district will be closed. Regular hours will resume Monday, March 17.
The LLCC Child Development Center will remain open for community childcare during regular hours. LLCC-Medical District will remain open regular hours. Scheduled events will be held as planned.
Congratulations to LLCC student Zorah Austin, of Virden, who has been named a 2025 Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholar and will receive a $1,000 scholarship. Read more about this Phi Kappa Theta award.

More surfboards will be available on March 18 in the LLCC Foundation office, after break, for those still interested in joining in the fun. Completed surfboards should be brought to the Student Union on March 25 between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. where people can vote on their favorite one.

Surf’s up! Faculty and staff are catching a wave on their decorated cardboard surfboards in preparation for the LEAGUE Campaign Kickoff on Tuesday, March 25.
Pick up a cardboard surfboard today in the LLCC Foundation office, decorate it however you wish with your team members and bring it to the Student Union by 11 a.m. the day of the LEAGUE Kickoff. LLCC’s very own Jazz Band will be performing some Beach Boys inspired tunes, and a beach themed lunch buffet will be provided beginning at 11:30 a.m. Limber up in preparation for the limbo contest. Great prizes will be available. You will have the opportunity to make your donation to the LEAGUE Campaign which raises money for students and programs at LLCC. Complete your LEAGUE 2025 Donation Form now and help us reach the $1 million mark for the amount raised since the beginning of the LEAGUE Campaign!
