Submit an IDI Grant application

The Innovation in Diversity and Inclusion (IDI) grant is an opportunity for LLCC employees, departments and students/student clubs to receive support in addressing or celebrating inclusivity and diversity at LLCC. Categories to consider include training, teaching and learning, recruitment and retention, and environment and processes.

The application is open online through Wednesday, Dec. 4 and applicants will be notified prior to winter break. There is $5,000 available to be awarded in fall 2024 for activities in spring 2025.

Workforce Institute Information Nights Planned

LLCC’s Workforce Institute will host a series of information sessions for students interested in the college’s high demand programs including commercial electrical and industrial maintenance, construction occupations, diesel technologies, hospitality management and culinary arts and welding. Join this insightful workshop, with Jennifer Gardner from the H5P Core team, to uncover the fundamentals of digital accessibility in H5P and understand its importance in today’s digital world. Discover what accessibility looks like in practice through real-world examples of H5P content, and gain valuable insights into how to make your H5P content more inclusive.

Valic rep on Campus Dec. 4

In an effort to provide you with the tools to better prepare to meet your financial and retirement goals, LLCC’s VALIC rep, David Jones, will be onsite Wednesday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the VP conference room, Menard Hall, to address any questions you may have regarding your financial and retirement goals, such as:

  • Planning, setting up your retirement plan
  • Budgeting, to meet your savings goals
  • Managing your investments
  • Calculation contributions to meet your future retirement needs

If you have not met the VALIC advisor, here is your opportunity to get acquainted. Come learn about the differences between the 403B and the 457 (deferred compensation) plans available at LLCC! Faculty and staff can make an appointment with David Jones, using registration code 6303SPR11AB.

Construction to begin in Logan Hall today

Starting today, contractors will begin working  on the west side of Logan Hall in Rooms 1136, 1138 and 1139. We expect this renovation to continue through spring 2025.

We have asked the contractor to limit disruptions as much as possible, but there will likely be minor disruptions over the course of the coming months.
