Look for the balloons to guide you to the collection point. The LLCC Child Development Center will collect your donations for the food pantry. If you require assistance with getting your donations to this location, please get in touch with LLCC Student Life, and we’ll do our best to help you out. In case of inclement weather, we will be meeting in the Student Union.

ImpactLife will be on the LLCC-Springfield campus to make donating blood convenient! Please consider donating on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Appointments are required and registration for the blood drive is available online.
As an additional incentive to participate, donors will receive:

LLCC will honor veterans at its 28th annual Veterans Day Ceremony tomorrow, Nov. 10. The ceremony will begin at 12:30 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons on the LLCC-Springfield campus, and a reception will follow. The public is invited to attend.
Chatham American Legion Post #759 will post the colors. The program also includes Gordon Gates, LLCC Board of Trustees Chair, serving as master of ceremonies; Jonathan Gebhardt, LLCC student and retired Senior Airman, U.S. Airforce, providing remarks; LLCC Student Trustee Rayna Herzog presenting the wreath; Calia Cole singing the national anthem; and Jeremy Peck playing “Taps.”
The Veterans Day Ceremony is sponsored by LLCC Student Life and honors all veterans including LLCC faculty, staff and students who served in the armed forces.
Each year, LLCC nominates one faculty member for the Dale P. Parnell Award from the American Association of Community Colleges. This year, as part of the process of identifying LLCC’s nominee, we would like to invite recommendations from you. The American Association of Community Colleges’ faculty distinction recognition, named in honor of former AACC President and CEO Dale P. Parnell, has been established to recognize individuals making a difference in the classroom. Nominees for the faculty distinction recognition should:
Demonstrate passion for the students and the classroom.
Show willingness to support students, inside and outside of the classroom.
Be inclined to participate in college committees.
Go above and beyond what is required to ensure that students are successful in their academic endeavors.
