CQI session coming up Feb. 8

All new or current employees who have not completed Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) training are encouraged to sign up now for the next session on Feb. 8, 2019! Facilitators will be Nicole Ralph and Karen Sanders. Register by calling 524-6749 or emailing cctc@llcc.edu.

Flooring to be replaced in A. Lincoln Commons and Quiznos during winter recess

During winter recess, contractors will be working to replace flooring in A. Lincoln Commons (first floor and second floor catwalk) and Quiznos/kitchen in the lower level of Menard Hall. Starting on Dec. 14, contractors will begin to mobilize, and A. Lincoln Commons will be largely inaccessible and the Quiznos/kitchen area will be unavailable starting on Dec. 15. We have asked contractors to provide caution tape at open areas that are inaccessible during this time. If you are on campus during winter recess, please use caution in and around these areas. Welcome Week volunteers needed

LLCC Public Relations and Marketing is looking for volunteers to assist at the welcome table in A. Lincoln Commons Jan. 14-18 during the first week of spring classes. Help students get a great start to the spring semester by answering their questions and providing directions. FAQ handouts will be on the tables again along with highlighters to help mark students’ routes to their classes.

Notice regarding end-of-month deposits

The deadline to submit deposits to the LLCC Finance Department is Thursday, Dec. 13, before noon. Please hand the deposit to Nichole Coffey or Robin Ackman as monies should not be left unattended.

As a reminder, if you have taken in funds, it is necessary to submit them and corresponding deposit slips to the finance department on a daily basis.

Submit nominations for 2019 honored alumni award by Dec. 15

LLCC Alumni Services is accepting nominations for its 2019 Honored Alumni Award. Nominate an LLCC alum for the award by completing the form that is available at www.llcc.edu/honored-alumni-award. The deadline for submissions is Dec. 15, 2018.

Nominations will be scored on the following four criteria: 1) role model – inspiring excellence in others, 2) outstanding success – attaining significant career or personal achievements, 3) impact – achieving accomplishments which have changed the community for the better and 4) community service – demonstrating a visible commitment to the community through leadership and/or volunteerism.

Additionally, nominees must have successfully completed coursework at LLCC and be able to attend LLCC’s commencement ceremony on May 17, 2019.

Portion of sidewalk between Menard Hall and Cass Gym unavailable

Starting today, Dec. 10, a small portion of the curved sidewalk between Menard Hall and Cass Gym will be unavailable. Conduit repairs will require ground work, and a portion of this sidewalk to be removed and replaced. Due to weather concerns, the repairs need to be completed as soon as possible. Contractors will be working in this area and will block off the area with caution tape. Please avoid this area as much as possible and find an alternate pedestrian route between Menard and Cass. This work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, Dec. 14. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact Tim Ervin in construction management at 786-9605 with any questions or concerns.
