Early Alert Workgroup meets tomorrow

The first of five LLCC workgroups, inspired by convocation, meets tomorrow, Sept. 12 1-3 p.m. in the R.H. Stephens Room.

Early Alert

We have tried for years to adopt and use an early alert system. We have had a number of versions, but now is an opportunity to take a look at what we really want this to accomplish and to create a system that is systematic, user friendly, and significantly increases retention of our students.
Co-chairs: Dr. Kalith Smith, Susan Boehler
Cabinet Liaison: Shanda Byer
Kickoff Meeting: Sept. 12, 1-3 p.m., R.H. Stephens Room

All LLCC colleagues are encouraged to join a workgroup that interests them. Diverse input helps ensure that decisions are well-rounded and consider the needs of the entire campus community. See the message from Dr. Charlotte Warren and the entire list of workgroups online.

Internship Fair Happening Sept. 24

LLCC will be hosting an Internship Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in A. Lincoln Commons.
This is a great chance for students to learn about internship opportunities from organizations with openings right now and future openings in 2025. Opportunities are available in IT, business, accounting, marketing, graphic design, communications, engineering, public sector and more. Please encourage students to attend and connect with employers!

Upskilling at Memorial Health

Memorial employees earning their CNA through LLCC.LLCC-Medical District has partnered with Memorial Health to upskill Memorial colleagues by offering our clinical medical assistant program onsite at Memorial Learning Center. This past Friday a recognition ceremony was held to honor the first cohort of Memorial colleagues who completed LLCC’s CMA program. As students pass their certification exam, they are being place into medical assistant roles throughout Memorial Health.

Hall between A. Lincoln Commons & Menard Hall closed today

On Wednesday, Sept. 11, contractors will continue to work outside of the student services construction barrier in Menard Hall. The portion of the hallway between A Lincoln Commons and Menard Hall will be closed the entire day.

Entering Menard Hall from the east or through A. Lincoln Commons and either up or downstairs will be the only way to access each building.  There will still be access to the elevators in Menard Hall as well as classrooms and offices on the 1st floor when entering from the east.  We appreciate your patience as we continue to work to improve these areas of campus and hope the inconvenience is minimal. As always, please use caution and follow all signs, caution tape, barricades and barriers in this area. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Tim Ervin, director, construction & environmental, health and safety at 217-786-9605.
