We Need Your Help! Become a Giving Day Ambassador
LLCC’s annual Giving Day is Nov. 15! We need faculty, staff, students and alums to help us share the word. Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising event designed to unite our alumni, donors and community friends who believe in supporting our students. It’s a day dedicated to giving back, where every donation, no matter the size, contributes to making a difference in the lives of our students.
Giving Day Ambassadors are the champions of our cause, using their networks to share messages and inspire generosity using social media and email. We will provide all the material to make it easy to share. Your efforts will contribute to the success of LLCC students by helping to provide the latest technology, creating new initiatives, and upgrading equipment.
For more information or to become an LLCC Giving Day Ambassador, visit our LLCC Foundation Giving Day web page.
There is no need to wait until Giving Day to make a difference. Visit the LLCC Foundation page to donate. Gifts of all sizes are welcome.

Just-in-Time Programming Workgroup meets this Thursday, Oct. 17
The final LLCC workgroups, inspired by convocation, meets Oct. 17 from 1-3 p.m. in the Robert H. Stephens Room.
Just-in-Time Programming
Traditional students will always be a part of our student body, however potential adult students and employers are looking for other options. There is increasing need for short-term programming to learn basic new skills, get a quick refresher on a subject, prepare for a new job, keep up with current job requirements, or seek opportunities for a promotion. This means building new certificate/program offerings that provide the opportunity to “ramp on and ramp off” to meet more immediate work needs of current students, potential students, and employers.
Co-chairs: Dr. Brent Todd, Josh Collins
Cabinet Liaison: Dr. Jason Dockter
Kick-off Meeting: Oct. 17, 1-3 p.m., Menard Hall, Robert H. Stephens Room
All LLCC colleagues are encouraged to join a workgroup that interests them. Diverse input helps ensure that decisions are well-rounded and consider the needs of the entire campus community. See the message from Dr. Charlotte Warren and the entire list of kick-off meetings.

RECIPE FOR CYBERSECURITY: Updating software
Top your device off with a fresh update.
Welcome to week 3! Spice up your system with the latest updates and patches. Updates are free to download, and they stop your security from becoming stale.
Please Note: When downloading a software update:
- Only get it from the company that created it. Hacked, pirated, or unlicensed software versions often contain malware and cause more problems than they solve.
- Make sure the software or application you’re updating is approved by your organization. If you are unsure, please contact our team.
Chef tip: Where applicable, turn on automatic updates. When an update is available, it will remind you so you can easily start the process.
Look for this week’s Recipe for Cybersecurity poster on bulletin boards around campus. Thank you for being the key ingredient in our recipe for cybersecurity success!
