Today’s AIeL workshop: Accessibility Updates in Canvas

Join AIeL today, Nov. 13, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Teams, for an informative workshop where they will explore the latest updates to digital accessibility regulations and introduce two powerful new tools integrated into Canvas — UDOIT and TidyUP. These tools replace the old Ally Accessibility Checker, offering a more streamlined and user-friendly approach to ensuring your course content meets current accessibility standards. John Freml, director, faculty development, and Matthew Trueblood, instructional designer, will guide you through how UDOIT scans and identifies accessibility issues in your course, and how TidyUP helps you manage and clean up unnecessary files. By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills to create more accessible and organized online learning environments for all students.

Registration for Accessibility Updates in Canvas is recommended.

This virtual workshop is a repeat of the face-to-face workshop earlier this semester.

Blood drive today

Blue banner with ImpactLife logo and text reading Volunteers Needed. Changing the World Together.
There is no substitute for human blood, and blood is medicine for those battling cancer. Around 25% of the blood supply goes to cancer patients, and without volunteer donors this would not be possible.

Please plan to join us today, Nov. 12, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in A. Lincoln Commons to donate. Schedule an appointment online.

For donating, you will receive your choice of the following:

  • A $10 gift card ($25 gift card for double red)
  • Loyalty Store bonus points to redeem an ImpactLife beanie (or other items)
  • A donation to support area food banks

Please contact studentlife@llcc.edu with any questions. Thank you!
