Annual Security and Fire Safety Report Now Available

Lincoln Land Community College is committed to assisting all members of our campus community in providing for their own safety and security.  The annual security and fire safety compliance document is available on the LLCC Police Department website at: http://police.llcc.edu/pdf/16-17-CSR.pdf

If you would like to receive a hard copy of the Annual Security Safety Report which contains this information, you can stop by The LLCC Police Department located in Sangamon Hall South, Springfield Campus, or you can request that a copy be mailed to you by calling 217-786-2278.

The website and booklet contain information regarding campus security and personal safety including topics such as: crime prevention, fire safety, campus police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus.  They also contain information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Lincoln Land Community College; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

This information is required by law and is provided by the Lincoln Land Community College Police Department.

Condolences to Kenny Bridgeford

We extend our condolences to Kenny Bridgeford, grounds maintenance worker, on the passing of his mother, Clara Bridgeford. Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 3 at Emmanuel Temple Church of God in Christ in Springfield at 11 a.m., followed by funeral services at noon, then internment at Camp Butler Cemetery.  View the obituary.

The HIRE Education Highway Construction Careers Program was featured in a front page, Sept. 29 article in the State Journal Register: Students for HIRE: Aim is to increase diversity in construction unions. Julie Rourke, director, workforce development; Tom Spears, program coordinator, workforce development; and students Maurice Reynolds, Frederick Joiner and Gwen Capella were interviewed for the story.

Extra 50th anniversary shirts available

A small amount of 50th anniversary T-shirts remain. If you are a part-time employee or adjunct instructor and would like a complimentary shirt, you may pick one up in the LLCC Foundation in Menard Hall through Monday, Oct. 3. (First come, first served.) Here are the sizes remaining:

Blackboard Maintenance Friday

Blackboard will be unavailable this Friday, Sept. 30, beginning at 3 p.m. for necessary maintenance. We anticipate the work taking around three hours to complete.

Maintenance to cause internet outage over weekend

Internet connectivity will be unavailable Saturday, Oct. 1 from 12 a.m.-1 a.m. due to maintenance performed by LLCC’s main internet service provider.  Network resources including website, Blackboard and WebAdvisor will not be accessible as this maintenance occurs.

The deadline to submit your deposits to the Finance Department is TODAY, Thursday, Sept. 29 at noon. As a reminder, if you’ve taken in funds, it is necessary to submit them and corresponding deposit slips to the Finance Department on a daily basis.
