Dec. 30 Power Outage Planned

On Friday, Dec. 30, there will be an eight-hour planned power outage that will affect the following buildings:  Sangamon Hall, Menard Hall, Cass Gymnasium, the Millennium Center, the Trutter Center, and the Facilities Services Maintenance buildings.  This effort is being coordinated between, and with the cooperation of, the Construction Management Office, the Facilities Services Department, CWLP, Johnson Engineering, B&B Electric, Prairie State (Harney Electric), and the Information Technology Department.

During this period, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be no electrical, data or phone services available to the buildings or areas noted above.  This will also affect the computer and phone systems in all of our district facilities.

The planned power outage is required in order to complete the work necessary to better monitor our energy usage in the future and to upgrade our battery backup systems that protect our data infrastructure during unexpected power surges and outages.

We thank you, in advance, for your understanding and patience during this eight-hour period.

Hugh Garvey
Construction Manager

New Payment Plan Flier Available

A new version of the payment plan flier has been created to make available to students for spring 2017.  The updated flier contains more information than what is listed on the current flier.

This lower resolution pdf is for viewing/emailing only. If you would like to order copies for your area, please complete a KBOX ticket to PRM.

A new payment plan flier will be created for Summer 2017, Fall 2017 and Spring 2017 after LLCC and Nelnet have agreed to deadlines.  Once that occurs, a notice will be put in the LincIn informing college staff it is available.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Robin Ackman at ext. 62762 or robin.ackman@llcc.edu.  Thank you!

What is OneDrive

OneDrive is part of Office 365 and is an online (cloud) file storage application. You are provided with 1TB of storage space for files, photos, etc. Your files can be shared with others, are accessible from any device connected to the Internet and even collaborate with others on your Office documents at the same time while editing the document in the browser.

With Office 365, you can create a document on your office or home computer, save it to OneDrive and edit the same file on another device. No need to email it to yourself or save a copy to a thumb drive. All applications available can be used on-line across multiple platforms (PC/Mac, tablet, iPad, smartphone).

There are two ways to access Office 365, OneDrive and other online applications. Log into your LLCC Email account via the web www.llcc.edu, My LLCC, Email) click on the apps icon (waffle) or the Office 365 link in the upper left of the window. You can access this directly at https://portal.office.co and login with your LLCC Email address. If prompted, choose the Work or School Account option.

After the Spring 2017 semester, LLCC will be converting to this data storage system in place of the current network folder structure.

AFO 208 students painted bean bag games sets as a lab activity this semester. The ag program would like to thank the staff and faculty who bought them. We will probably take orders for new sets next fall.
