If these were the residents of Shady Pines, maybe Sophia, from the Golden Girls, wouldn’t have minded the retirement facility.

Who wore it better? Alex Dean, student support specialist, TRIO, dressed as Shanda Byer, vice president, student services.

Child Development Center

The LLCC Child Development Center is aware of the recent closing announcement of Building Blocks Preschool in Springfield. If you, as an employee, or an LLCC student will have their childcare impacted, please reach out to the LLCC Child Development Center. While the LLCC facility only has a limited number of spaces available, depending on the child’s age, the center staff will assist LLCC affiliated employees and students in locating childcare.

Career Development Month – My Story boards

November is National Career Development Month, and the Career Center invites your participation in sharing career insights with our students. We’re excited to bring back the “My Story Boards,” which faculty and staff can fill out and display in their offices or outside their doors. Sharing your educational and career journeys can be both inspirational and informative for students, especially when integrated into classroom discussions.

The Career Center is delivering My Story Boards to Administrative Assistant Offices. If you did not receive a My Story Board and would like one, please email CareerCenter@LLCC.edu, and we’ll be happy to bring one to your office.
