Winter Games

“Minute to Win It” style games and puzzles. And no winter game day would be complete without donuts and hot chocolate!

Creating a Positive Vision

Wednesday, Jan. 15, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Supplies and prompts provided to create a vision board, positivity jar…or something else creative.

DIY Room Sprays & Dirty Soda

Thursday, Jan. 16, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Supplies provided supplies to make a room spray and, after all the talk about clean smells, enjoy a Dirty Soda!

Popcorn Bar & Escape Room

Friday, Jan. 17, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Try out different popcorn concoctions while solving puzzles to “escape” from one of the tabletop challenges.

Service Projects: PBJ Project & Cards for Kids

Tuesday, Jan. 21, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Design a card that will be mailed to a child in the hospital or make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that will be distributed through a local organization.

Impact Life Blood Drive

Wednesday, Jan. 22, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (Rotunda)
Help save lives by donating blood during National Blood Donor Month. Walk-ins are accepted but appointments are encouraged. Sign up ONLINE.

Grocery Bingo

Wednesday, Jan. 22, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (Lounge)
Each round of bingo will end with someone winning food, toiletries or cleaning supplies. Something to use right away!

What’s My Cup of Tea?

Thursday, Jan. 23, 10:45 a.m.-1 p.m.
Make new friends, find a club to join and learn about other local attractions while enjoying a cup of hot tea, an iced tea or a scone.

LLCC Continuing Education welcomes Diana Heeb Bivona

Diana owns her own business solutions consulting company in the Springfield area, but also recently served as the business coordinator for Sheridan College in Wyoming. She brings her years of higher education experience to LLCC. Diana holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree. She will be located in the LLCC-Medical District. Training and Development Opportunity on Jan. 22

LLCC Human Resources is offering a session titled “Goal Setting” with Alan Pasley on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. This session will help participants effectively define and achieve their professional and personal objectives using the SMART concept. This session will explain the process of setting goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Complete session details can be found on the HR Portal page. The 2025 Health and Wellness Events begins on Jan. 28

Interested in learning about gut health and enjoy breakfast by Bloom Hospitality and Catering? Join the first of the Health and Wellness events for the 2025 Spring Semester on Tuesday, Jan. 28. This event features Dr. Bryne Willey of AlignLife of Springfield Chiropractic & Natural Health Center who will join us for a complimentary breakfast and learn.

Dr. Bryne of AlignLife Chiropractic, smiling, wearing a blue shirt and tie.Dr. Bryne will talk for 15 to 20 minutes, take questions, and provide a catered breakfast for attendees. He will focus his talk on gut dysfunction and unlock the secrets to better digestion and vitality. Dr. Bryne combines expertise in chiropractic care and natural health with engaging information.

Dr. Bryne opened AlignLife of Springfield Chiropractic in 2013. He has since received Clinic of the Year, Best of Chiropractic, Business of the Year, Forty Under 40, and several Good as Gold awards. He graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic with a Doctor of Chiropractic and holds a Master’s in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.

ImpactLife Blood Drive – Sign Up to Donate!

Impact Life logoLet’s start off 2025 by collecting a record number of donations! January is National Blood Donor Month and ImpactLife will be in A. Lincoln Commons on Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Just a 1% increase in blood donors across America could alleviate shortages and positively impact countless individuals. Appointments are requested and you can sign up online. Donors will have a choice of a gift card, donation to local area food banks or bonus points to the rewards store. Extended Open Registration

Due to weather issues, LLCC has extended open registration through the end of day, Monday, Jan. 13. Students may still drop classes with a refund until Friday, Jan. 17.

Changes to Distribution of 1095-Cs

LLCC Human Resources will no longer print and mail the 1095-C tax form regarding your health insurance coverage. Hard copies will only be provided upon request. You may access these forms electronically through Colleague Self-Service if you opt into receiving them electronically. To request a hard copy, please send an email to hr@llcc.edu.
