Culinary Institute again site of Army cooks training
The Army returns for a cooks training program Monday, July 28-Monday, Aug. 4, utilizing the food lab, baking lab and Bistro Verde in the Workforce Career Center. Most days, the student cooks and instructors will be on campus from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Army coordinators of the training sessions have consistently praised the support they receive from the college. Blood drive on Springfield campus today

College For Kids update
The highest number of participants in College for Kids yet-578! We’re in the third and final week of College For Kids on the Springfield campus this summer. Sangamon Hall Air Conditioning issues
There may be comfort issues in Sangamon Hall on Monday and Tuesday of this week due to a mechanical failure in the air conditioning system. Facilities Services apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause and will work to get the A/C back to normal as quickly as possible. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
This Week at LLCC
The third and final session of College for Kids on the Springfield campus will be held 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Students will begin each day in the Trutter Center, break out to classrooms all over campus, and return to the Trutter Center for closing so please use extra caution, especially driving.
A Radiography Information Session will take place on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.
A Blood Drive will be held in the Student Union, Menard Hall on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The July Board of Trustees meeting is Wednesday at 5 p.m.
On Thursday, from 9 to 11 a.m., a Rapid Registration event will be held in Menard Hall, 1173 to help current students get registered for Fall classes. Also, at 1 p.m. a New Student Orientation will begin in the R.H. Stephens Room.

You can check your available leave time (or time that is available for employees you supervise) by accessing a report on the HR Portal in the “HR Links” section. Paperwork due TODAY for last check run of FY ’14
Paperwork must be turned into Accounts Payable TODAY, Monday, July 21, for the last check run for FY ’14, which will be July 24. Any invoice received after today will be charged to your FY ’15 budget. It is important that FY ’14 expenditures be processed in the correct fiscal year.
