Bistro To Go opens Sept. 15, featuring takeout items!

Bistro Verde will open this fall semester as Bistro To Go!  The student operated café will sell ready-to-eat soups, salads, sandwiches and assorted baked goods for takeout only.  Menu selections will vary each day based on what is being prepared by culinary and baking classes. The café will also offer coffee, tea, soda and bottled water.

Bistro To Go will be open on Mondays from 4 – 6 p.m. and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.  Opening day is Monday, Sept. 15 and will continue through Monday Nov. 24.  Due to the nature of the class and student curriculum, we will not be able to accommodate call-ahead orders or seating in the Bistro, and there is a limit of 4 “orders” per person.

Truck/crane in front of Commons this afternoon; will not block entrances

This afternoon, we anticipate having a truck/crane in front of the Commons to lift a 4,000 lb. piece of equipment on to the roof of Sangamon Hall.  We will not be blocking the entrances to the Commons or Sangamon Hall.  This “lift” is associated with the upgrading of our Variable Frequency Drives at Sangamon, Menard and Cass.  These drives allow us to control the air movement of individual spaces serviced by our HVAC systems.  As always, we appreciate your patience.

If you have any questions, please call 6-9605.
