Office Supply Swap April 4 & 5

Fellow faculty and staff! Mark your calendars! The Finance Department is hosting an Office Supply Swap on April 4 and 5, 2016 in the R. H. Stephens Room. The way this will work is for all areas to collect supplies they no longer have a need for and bring them to the R. H. Stephens room on Monday, April 4 between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The 4th will strictly be drop off day. Tuesday, April 5, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., everyone is invited to come in and “shop” for items your office can use. You do NOT have to contribute items to shop for items.” This program is designed to eliminate waste and extend the usefulness of items we already have on campus as well as create a cost savings by not having to order certain supplies that may already be in existence but are not being used. Examples of items for the swap are as follows:

Basic Office Supplies –

  • staples, paperclips, tape, rulers, rubber bands, sticky notes, scissors, etc.
  • paper, cardstock, notepads, labels, envelopes, etc.
  • file folders, binders, tab dividers, report covers, etc.

Writing utensils Desk/Office Accessories –

  • book ends, drawer organizers, desktop organizers, staplers, hole punches, calculators, etc.
  • ink cartridges

If you have any questions about whether or not something should be included in the swap, please contact Dwayne Curry (6-2261) or Holly Walton (6-2260).

Thank you from Don Kallembach

I wanted to thank the College and everyone here for your support, cards and flowers after the passing of my mother, Frances Kallembach, on February 17. While Mom never taught at a community college, she was a teacher for 37 years at DeLand-Weldon Elementary School. She loved the teaching profession and thought the community college system was one of the best things, ever, for education. Thank you, again.
