Governor Pritzker seated in background.Dr. Charlotte Warren, LLCC president, spoke at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the South Central Illinois Training & Innovation Center on Monday. SCI is located in Litchfield and will give area high school students and those who have lost their jobs an opportunity to get training to be able to enter the workforce more quickly when they graduate. LLCC is partnering to provide dual credit opportunities.

Dr. Nancy Sweet, dean, Workforce Institute at LLCC, was interviewed by WICS Tuesday about opportunities in the trades and LLCC’s partnership in providing dual credit opportunities for workforce classes at SCI in Litchfield.

Jolene Lamb, culinary coordinator, LLCC Community Education, is demonstrating the preparation of an easy radish sandwich on today’s WICS Marketplace program which begins at 11:30 a.m.

This demonstration will also be featured tomorrow evening, 4-6 p.m., at the Thursday evening Illinois Product Farmers Market in the Shed at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
