LLCC Giving Day. November 15, 2022Thank you to everyone who participated in LLCC’s Giving Day. Giving Day is designed to share the college’s mission while raising funds in support of students and programs through online resources.

We are close to reaching our goal but need your help. Make a gift online at www.LLCCFoundation.org or in-person in the Foundation. You may choose how your support will impact students. Donations can be made for the following needs:

  • The Pay It Forward student emergency assistance fund
  • The general scholarship fund for students with a demonstrated financial need
  • The LLCC Foundation’s annual fund which supports the greatest needs of the college

Today is Lincoln Land Community College’s annual Giving Day. The purpose of this 24-hour day of giving is to advance the mission of the college while raising essential funds for our students.

Help us spread the word about LLCC Giving Day by promoting it on social media using #LLCCGivingDay or share the posts found on the college’s alumni social media pages.

Make a gift!

During this season of giving please consider making a donation. You may choose how your gift will assist students by choosing the Pay It Forward student emergency assistance fund, general scholarship fund or for the greatest need. Faculty and staff who donate will receive a sticker good for a jean’s day of their choice (supervisor permission is required).

Parade of Food today, 9:45 a.m.

As you can imagine, holidays like Thanksgiving are difficult times as many lack the resources to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal. One initiative back for a second year that has risen to help combat food insecurity faced by LLCC students is called Operation Full Belly: Help for Hungry Students. Operation Full Belly is a joint venture between LLCC Student Life, Child Development Center, Workforce Equity Initiative, Trio, Police Department and Foundation to offer students in need a chance to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

To make Operation Fully Belly a success, please join faculty, staff and children from the Child Development Center on Monday, Nov. 14, at 9:45 a.m. for the Parade of Food in A. Lincoln Commons

Additionally, the Foundation will be collecting monetary donations through tomorrow, Nov. 15. Funds collected as part of Operation Full Belly will be used to purchase grocery baskets and gift cards for our students who have indicated a need for assistance this Thanksgiving Holiday.

What is LLCC Giving Day?

LLCC Giving Day. November 15, 2022LLCC’s annual Giving Day is Tuesday, Nov. 15. The purpose of this 24-hour day of giving is to impact and transform student lives through giving. We need help spreading the word about Giving Day. Share posts on LinkedIn and the LLCC Alumni and Friends Facebook and Alumni Instagram pages or contact the LLCC Foundation for more information at 217-786-2255.

Everyone is invited to participate in Giving Day including alumni, donors, faculty, staff, students and community friends. Faculty and staff who donate will receive a sticker good for one jeans day of their choice (supervisor permission is required). You can choose how your gift will benefit our students by choosing one of the following:

  • The Pay It Forward student emergency assistance fund – provides bus passes, gas cards, rent and utilities payments and more for students who experience an unexpected need
  • The general scholarship fund – provides money for tuition and books to students who might otherwise not be able to afford it
  • Greatest need – funds are used for the greatest needs including upgrading technology, facilities and equipment. among other things

As a campus community, we have risen to this all-too-common challenge by establishing the LLCC Food Pantry and other events and programs throughout the year to support those in need.

As you can imagine, holidays like Thanksgiving are difficult because many lack the resources to have a Thanksgiving meal. Back for a second year, one initiative that has risen this year to help combat food insecurity faced by our students is called Operation Full Belly: Help for Hungry Students. LLCC Foundation announces 2022-2023 scholarship recipients

The LLCC Foundation has announced the recipients of over 340 scholarships totaling more than $660,000 for the 2022-2023 academic year. The LLCC Foundation awards scholarships every year thanks to the support and generosity of individuals, community businesses and organizations.

Order your Around the World Gourmet Dinner Kits

Around the World LLCC Foundation Dinner Kit Pickup. Hosted by LLCC Culinary Arts and Hospitality Program. LLCC Lincoln Land Community College FoundationThe LLCC Foundation in partnership with LLCC’s Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts program is offering a five-course gourmet dinner kit pickup on Friday, Oct. 7 (Institutional Improvement Day). The “Around the World” menu theme features cuisine from various countries and gives culinary students a first-hand opportunity to prepare and serve the meal, which can then be finished with a little preparation at home.

After Institutional Improvement Day activities have concluded, pick up your dinner kit in front of the Workforce Career Center from 4-6 p.m. Gourmet dinner kits with drink pairings are $150, and each kit serves two people.
