Today is Professional Development/Campus Assessment Day! Professional development sessions are available in the morning, and campus assessment activities take place in the afternoon. View the schedule.

LEAGUE Kickoff Luncheon

All faculty and staff are invited to attend the LEAGUE Kickoff today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Start in A. Lincoln Commons where you can pick up your passport, map, lunch ticket and free carwash certificate. Get your passport stamped at each station for a chance to win some great prizes including $150 in cash donated by members of the Cabinet.

You can take your lunch to the Student Union where you can enjoy music provided by Matt Combs. Don’t forget to bring cash to purchase 50/50 tickets. And you can make your annual contribution to the faculty and staff giving campaign at the event as well.

Around the World. LEAGUE. Adventure Awaits. LLCC FoundationThe LLCC Foundation recently awarded $10,000 in grant support for projects and programs at the college. Faculty and staff make these grants possible through their generous giving to the annual faculty and staff campaign known as LEAGUE. All faculty and staff are invited to join the LEAGUE Committee in A. Lincoln Commons beginning at 11:30 a.m. today for a complimentary lunch, activities, live music and more.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

Hydrocephalic neonatal head phantom – Used for training students to recognize abnormal pathology.

Surgical Technology Program

Recording equipment – Equipment allows students to demonstrate the skills they learn without having to wait for the instructor to be free.

Radiology Program

Leg supporting device – Equipment for trauma radiography that is similar to devices currently used in the clinical setting.

LLCC-Taylorville – Construction Occupations Program

Carpentry equipment – Equipment updates to be used in carpentry.

Academic Innovation and E-learning

Smart conferencing cameras – Smart conferencing cameras to provide faculty the option to teach students who cannot attend class in person and also include guest speakers through remote options.

Those who donate to the LEAGUE Campaign choose where to direct their gift. Options include the general scholarship fund, the Pay It Forward Emergency Assistance Fund for students with unanticipated financial constraints or LEAGUE grants, which support programs and projects at LLCC. One example includes a grant awarded to the culinary and hospitality arts program for updated technology and equipment for Bistro Verde.
