Professional Development/Campus Assessment Day and LEAGUE Kickoff

Today is Professional Development/Campus Assessment Day! Professional development sessions are available in the morning, and campus assessment activities take place in the afternoon. View the schedule.

LEAGUE Kickoff Luncheon

All faculty and staff are invited to attend the LEAGUE Kickoff today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Start in A. Lincoln Commons where you can pick up your passport, map, lunch ticket and free carwash certificate. Get your passport stamped at each station for a chance to win some great prizes including $150 in cash donated by members of the Cabinet.

You can take your lunch to the Student Union where you can enjoy music provided by Matt Combs. Don’t forget to bring cash to purchase 50/50 tickets. And you can make your annual contribution to the faculty and staff giving campaign at the event as well.

Professional Development/Campus Assessment Day is tomorrow, March 29. The day features professional development sessions in the morning, the LEAGUE campaign kickoff and campus assessment activities in the afternoon. View the schedule.

LEAGUE Campaign Kickoff

All faculty and staff are invited to Join the LEAGUE Committee from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow to enjoy a complimentary lunch from one of three food trucks, participate in fun activities, enjoy live music, have a chance to win some great prizes and make a donation to benefit our students and program.

Claire as Mona LisaThe theme for this year’s campaign is Around the World. Pick up a map in A. Lincoln Commons along with your passport. Visit each of the stations — including a selfie with the Mona Lisa — for a stamp in your passport. Drop off your completed passport for a chance to win a prize.

Dr. Tia Brown McNairDr. Tia Brown McNair is the vice president in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Student Success and Executive Director for the Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT) Campus Centers at the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) in Washington, D.C. She oversees both funded projects and AAC&U’s continuing programs on equity, inclusive excellence, high-impact practices and student success. She is the lead author of “From Equity Talk to Equity Walk: Expanding Practitioner Knowledge for Racial Justice in Higher Education” (January 2020) and “Becoming a Student-Ready College: A New Culture of Leadership for Student Success” (July 2016).
