Mariah Kaplan, soprano, will perform Sunday, Oct. 20 as part of the LLCC Recital Series. Her 4 p.m., free concert will be held in the Trutter Center on the LLCC Campus.
Mariah was the first student to achieve gold medal awards in both piano and voice at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. In the summer of 2010, she sang at Carnegie Hall with the American High School Honors Performance Series. She now attends Indiana University where she is studying voice and psychology. Last summer, she attended the Summer Voice Festival at the Manhattan School of Music, where she played Polly Peachum in a rendition of the “The Beggars’ Opera” and “The Threepenny Opera.”
Mariah has been a student of Sue Hamilton, LLCC adjunct music instructor, for nine years.
