Foundation Secures Donations In Support of Our Students

The Lincoln Land Community College Foundation applauds your efforts in helping our students fulfill their educational goals!

_G1C1552.CR2Gifts to the annual staff and faculty LEAGUE campaign are still being received.  To date, the Foundation has received $55,488 in pledges from 175 staff and faculty members!  This money benefits students like Peggy, who after an 18-year hiatus, hesitantly returned to college, but with clear goals in mind including being the first in her family to receive a degree and to open her own catering business someday. Thanks to your generous donations, Peggy was the recipient of the Lincoln Land Foundation First Generation Student Scholarship, which has helped her pay tuition.

June edition of Foundation’s “Circle of Friends”

The LLCC Foundation offers its thanks to all our generous donors for making a difference in the lives of LLCC students!  That gratitude extends to the Bertrand Hopper Foundation for their major gift to the “Grow Beyond” endowment campaign, our amazing faculty and staff who pledged more than $55,000 (a record!) to the annual L.E.A.G.U.E. campaign, our generous gala donors and more.  Read all about the good news in the June edition of “Circle of Friends.”

Health Savings Accounts Information

As mentioned in last week’s article “Important Health/Dental Insurance & Flexible Spending Account Information,” United Community Bank will be on-campus this morning from 9-11 a.m. in the HR Conference Room.  A representative will be available to answer health savings account questions and/or open an account if you desire.  If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Ralph at 6.2342.

Note: Health savings accounts are specifically associated with the high deductible plan.  It is not the same as a flexible spending account.  A flex account may only be used in association with the Open Access Plan or in the event that you decline the College’s health insurance coverage.
