Dee Krueger, director, LLCC-Taylorville, was interviewed yesterday on the WTIM Morning Show. She discussed full semester and module classes, summer and fall classes at LLCC-Taylorville and the upcoming grilling series demonstration at Ace Hardware in Taylorville on July 9.
The July issue of “Keep on Truckin’,” the magazine of the Mid-West Truckers Association, features a story about the donations of trucks and chassis to LLCC’s new diesel technologies program. The donations came from CIT Trucks and Rush Truck Centers. Jeff Gardner, director, diesel technologies program, is quoted in the article.

LLCC conferred more than 1,600 degrees and certificates at the college’s commencement ceremony Friday, May 13. View the graduate list, which is in alphabetical order by hometown and includes degrees and certificates conferred.

Sheridan Lane, director, culinary program and operations, wrote this week’s Epicuriosity 101 column on “The time-honored traditions of Italy.”
Kim Wilson, recruitment specialist and Juneteenth committee member, was interviewed by WICS and WAND about the LLCC’s Juneteenth celebration and educational activities.
WICS Marketplace featured “History Cooks: Food of Lincoln’s Springfield,” a series of cooking demonstrations of dishes from President Lincoln’s time, on June 15. LLCC Culinary is partnering with the Lincoln Home National Historic Site this summer to provide these demonstrations.
The public is invited to the Lincoln Home every Friday afternoon at 1 p.m., June 3-Aug. 5, to learn from LLCC culinary staff and local chefs. Everyone attending will receive a souvenir recipe card so they can re-create the tasty dishes at home. Read more.
