LLCC Foundation Fabulous LEAGUE Campaign 2019All faculty and staff are invited to join the LEAGUE Committee for the Fabulous LEAGUE Campaign Kickoff on Tuesday, March 26, in the Student Union beginning at 11:45 a.m. But first, join us for the LEAGUE Poker Run starting today! Visit each of the five participating locations (or email the contact person if located off-site) to draw a playing card. The person with the best poker hand wins and will receive a prize. Don’t forget to bring some cash when you stop by the LLCC Foundation office so you can purchase your 50/50 tickets ($1 each or six for $5).

LEAGUE Committee seeks performers for kickoff

LLCC Foundation Fabulous LEAGUE Campaign 2019Calling all acts! Do you have a special talent such as singing, juggling or performing magic acts? Are you an Elvis impersonator in your free time? The theme of this year’s annual faculty and staff giving campaign, known as LEAGUE, is based on Las Vegas. The LEAGUE Committee is seeking “acts” to perform short (five-minutes or less) performances during the Las Vegas themed kickoff luncheon on Tuesday, March 26. In order to be considered, performers will be invited to attend a brief “audition” prior to the kickoff. Those interested should contact Barb Eades in the LLCC Foundation at 786-2255 or by email at Barbara.Eades@llcc.edu.

LEAGUE grant applications due today

LEAGUE grant applications are due in the LLCC Foundation, located on the first floor in Menard Hall, today, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. Approximately $10,000 from the faculty and staff giving campaign known as LEAGUE is available for projects and programs at LLCC.

Access grant guidelines and the application and budget worksheet. They may also be obtained on the Foundation website. LEAGUE grant applications are reviewed by a committee and the award recipients will be announced at the LEAGUE kickoff luncheon on March 26.

In order to be considered, you must submit your funding request by today at 5 p.m.  For questions, call the LLCC Foundation at 786-2785.

The deadline to submit a LEAGUE grant application is approaching. Applications are due in the LLCC Foundation, located on the first floor in Menard Hall, on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. Approximately $10,000 from the faculty and staff giving campaign known is LEAGUE is available for projects and programs at LLCC.

Thanks to generous faculty and staff who donated to the LEAGUE campaign. Projects that were awarded funding last year include:

  • Adult airway trainer for the emergency medical services program.
  • New easels for the art department to replace the 40-year-old ones.
  • Child size simulation model for respiratory care.

The manikin allows students to practice with the correct size equipment used on a 5-year-old patient.

LEAGUE Campaign 2018

Congratulations to the winner of the second LEAGUE cash drawing, Becky Parton.  Becky won $150 donated by members of LLCC’s Cabinet.  LEAGUE is the annual faculty and staff giving campaign. Donations to the campaign total more than $46,000 so far. Money is used for scholarships, grants and educational programs at the college. It is not too late to make your pledge. Complete the 2018 enrollment form and return it to the LLCC Foundation. Gifts to LEAGUE do not automatically roll over from year to year, so you must complete a new form each year. Help support students and programs at LLCC by making a gift today.
