New Letterhead Available

The new LLCC letterhead has arrived on campus!  Sheets can be picked up in Printing/Duplication, Menard Hall lower level.

Letterhead specific to other LLCC locations will be delivered this week on your regular deliveries.

A reminder that digital letterhead is available on the PRM Portal, as well!

The Public Relations & Marketing Office posts a monthly addendum for the LLCC Directory to keep the campus informed of updates throughout the year.  The May addendum has been posted and can be viewed by clicking HERE or visiting the PRM Portal Page and looking under Shared Documents.

Reminder: event submissions due end of day for Student Planner/Employee & Outlook Calendars

PRM is beginning production of the August 2014 – August 2015 LLCC Student Planner and Employee Wall Calendar. Please submit any events you would like included in these publications to misty.hagstrom@llcc.edu by the end of TODAY.

Please include name of the event, date, time and location.

These events will also be listed on the “College, Events, Athletics” Calendars available in Outlook.

Congratulations Colleen Pittman!

MadelineColleen Pittman, Public Relations and Marketing assistant, and her husband Daniel are parents of a baby girl, Madeline Clare Pittman, born Friday, May 16 at 8:47 p.m., weighing 6 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 inches long. Congratulations!

 

 

Mary Bonn, former PRM student worker, is currently stationed at the Information Desk during Colleen’s maternity leave. Welcome back, Mary!

Beardstown HS students visit LLCC

Beardstown Visit 5-1-14A group of 37 Beardstown High School Seniors, Culinary students and high school staff visited LLCC Thursday, May 1.  The students were taken on a tour of the Workforce Careers Center and listened to a presentation from Mac Warren, Assistant Director-Recruitment and Response, Terri Hinrichs, Recruitment Coordinator, and Craig McFarland, Financial Aid Advisor about opportunities at LLCC-Beardstown and LLCC-Springfield, the registration process and financial aid.  Virginia Moore (PRM Student Worker), Rose Raikes, Nancy Sweet, Dan Sheedy, Red Tomnitz and Tom Spears assisted in the tour.

LLCC Honors Club off to great start with “Be A Hero Campaign” press conference

IMG_6912Lincoln Land Community College is 1 of 21 colleges participating in the Secretary of State’s “Be A Hero Campaign” to promote organ/tissue donor awareness and to increase registration in Illinois.  A press conference was held Tuesday, April 8 to promote the efforts of the LLCC Honors Club in promoting this effort.  To view photos from the event, click HERE.  For more information, visit the LLCC “Be a Hero Campaign” Facebook Page.

Chatham 7 Graders visit campus

chatham 7thgrade175 Chatham 7th graders visited LLCC Wednesday for a career presentation and tours of Workforce Careers Center programs, Surgical Technology and EMS. A similar sized group will be on campus today from 9-11 a.m. Here, Terri Hinrichs shows four students what’s involved in testing for strep throat. Thank you to the many faculty and staff assisting PRM with this effort!

New feature on PRM Project Request Form

The Public Relations & Marketing Office has added a feature to the project request form to CC you when it is submitted to our office.  You will now receive an email with a copy of the form as soon as you hit Submit, similar to many other forms the college uses.

Please not that because of this update, a yellow bar may appear at the top of the form the next time you go to fill one out.  Just click to accept the update, and fill it out as usual!

Awards for PRM and SGA/LAB

Public Relations and Marketing won two silver awards for best outdoor advertising (School for the Job billboard) and best ad series (COLLEGE SUCCESS) and a bronze award for best annual report (2011-12) at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) District 3 Conference Nov. 3-5 in Columbus, Ohio.

The Student Government Association (SGA) and Logger Activities Board (LAB) won two awards at the Illinois Community College Student Activities Association Fall Student Leadership Conference in Gurnee. The SGA received the 2013 Ed Snyder Merit Award for excellence in programming during the 2012-2013 academic year and  the LAB received the 2013 Low Cost or No Cost Creative Marketing Award for the 4th year in a row for the “Bundle the Babes” event.
