Spring and summer 2023 graduation applications

Now is the time to apply for spring and summer 2023 graduation.

Prospective graduates must submit a graduation application to the LLCC Student Records office by the deadline for the term in which all graduation requirements will be completed.

Please encourage spring 2023 and summer 2023 graduates to apply now, if they have not already done so.

Please note: The deadline for both spring and summer graduates to apply to be considered for departmental honors is March 10.

NOTE: Applying for graduation is separate from signing up to participate in the annual commencement ceremony. There is a separate sign up for the commencement ceremony. Information about the ceremony will be sent once details are finalized. Encourage students to watch their emails!

Prior to submitting the graduation application, students should meet with a student success coach for a degree audit to ensure all requirements have been met for their degree or certificate program.

If students have any questions, please have them contact LLCC Records at 217-786-4956.

Thank you,
LLCC Records

New process to notify Records of possible duplicate student records in Colleague

LLCC employees have been fantastic in reporting suspected duplicated student records in Colleague to the Records office. Because we anticipate the number of duplicated records to continue to increase, a new notification process was created. The new method should simplify, standardize and streamline the notification process.

To report suspected duplicated records, please go to: https://help.llcc.edu/userui/ticket.php?QUEUE_ID=3. You may also find the form by going to KBOX, clicking New and choosing the Student Records queue. The form only requires three pieces of information to be entered (Student’s Name, Student ID A and Student ID B), but additional information can be included if you wish. If you have the student’s social security card, please do not attach it to the ticket; instead, please email it to records@llcc.edu.

LLCC Records will determine which record is correct. Once that is done, we will notify the submitter and the student of the correct ID to use moving forward.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at records@llcc.edu or 217-786-4956.

Student Services on the move

Starting on Nov. 22, movers will begin relocating LLCC Student Services staff in Menard Hall to their temporary locations in the Millennium Center and lower level of Sangamon Hall. Earlier this fall, Accessibility Services moved to the Millennium  Center and Testing to Logan Hall.

The upcoming moves will be phased over the final few weeks of 2022 with the hope that each department will be settled into their temporary locations in early 2023.  This has required a lot of hard work and coordination by all involved, and we will ask for everyone to be patient as these new locations will take some adjustments for both students and staff.  Future announcements will be coming from each department within Student Services as to “where to find them” soon.
