Last day to get your “Ticket to Ride!”

PrintTuesday is the final day to purchase tickets for the 2014 LEAGUE campaign’s “Famous 50/50” and raffle prize…a Kindle Fire HD and $25 Amazon gift card.  Stop by the LLCC Foundation before 5 pm on Tuesday!  And, while you’re there, cast off your final bits of change in the Penny Wars!  All 13 of the decorated Penny Wars containers are on display and ready for your donation.  All proceeds from this fun and “friendly” department challenge will support the Pay It Forward Fund to help students with emergency needs.

Funds from the LEAGUE campaign go directly to support LLCC students through scholarships, grants and more.  As a donor, you choose what you would like your gift to support.  The LLCC Foundation realizes you have choices in philanthropic support and given the ever increasing demands on individual and family budgets, please know how grateful we are that you’ve chosen the students of LLCC to be the recipients of your generous donations.

The LEAGUE campaign always features a lot of fun, but the dollars raised are for a serious purpose – to support our students so on their behalf, thank you!  “Come Together” and be a part of the LEAGUE!

Today is the last day of the Basics for Babies drive!

Chad Pregracke presents Helping to Clean America’s Rivers: From the Bottom Up!

chad pregrackeCome to the Trutter Center at 1pm today to hear Chad Pregracke’s empowering, compelling and fascinating story. He is the founder of America’s only “industrial strength” river clean-up organization, Living Lands & Waters. Chad tells a compelling and funny story about growing up on the river and how his river experiences led to his unique vision to clean up the Mississippi River.

From the darkness of underwater shell-diving to the brightness of open-air community clean-ups, Chad’s tale embodies the importance of setting goals (one river and one piece of garbage at a time) and illustrates how determination hard-work and persistence pays off.  This is a Red & Blue Crew event and sponsored by the Logger Activities Board.
