STUDENT WORKER JOB FAIR AUG. 28
Do you need a student employee to assist with various tasks in your office? LLCC offers on-campus jobs to students enrolled in at least six credits hours each semester. On-campus jobs are a great resource for students to advance their academic and professional goals.
To promote various on-campus jobs, LLCC Student Life in conjunction with LLCC Financial Aid will be hosting a Job Information Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. for LLCC offices to promote their on-campus jobs to LLCC students. If you’d like to participate, complete the Job Information Fair online registration form.
If you have any questions about the event, please contact Kristin Booher or Gianna Hines.
Inviting Employees to Join Event Planning Committees
As we kick off another year, some committees are forming to plan programs and events. Groups are needed to plan and implement the following:
- Multicultural Festival – The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9 with cultural vendors, entertainment and food. The committee members will brainstorm ways to make the day even more special and, most importantly, will be present to make it happen on that day! The first meeting will be a Teams meeting on Wednesday, July 31 at 10 a.m. and there will be a some additional meetings prior to the festival.
- African American History Month – The programming will be in February, but planning will get underway soon. There will be monthly planning meetings in the fall becoming more frequent as events near. Each committee member will take on a few tasks to do between meetings. The committee divides responsibilities for the setup/cleanup of the 4-5 events during the month of February.
- Women’s History Month – We’re creating a new group for planning a few activities in March. The group can decide when/how often to meet to make this happen
All are invited and welcome! If you are interested in joining one of these committees (or if there is another program/event on your mind!), please let Kristin Booher know of your interest.
The Writing Center is closed today
