They are responsible for researching and understanding various laws, regulations and guidelines (including Title IX of multiple education amendments, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act) and using that information to advise leadership, make critical decisions and develop trainings and programming. This is a great opportunity for someone who has analytical skills, can work with emotionally charged individuals to resolve conflict, and who has strong presentation and communication skills. The coordinator has direct contact with our students and provides them support and resources so they can continue to focus on their education and meet their goals.
