Leadership and Team Building workshop April 19
LLCC Human Resources is excited to announce another of our ongoing monthly workshops offered through our staff training and development coordinator. This month’s workshop is Leadership and Team Building on April 19, 1-3 p.m., in Menard 1179.
This workshop is perfect for individuals who are looking to enhance their leadership skills and learn how to build effective teams. Participants will learn different leadership styles, how to inspire and motivate team members, and strategies for resolving conflicts within a team setting.

Distinguished Service Award deadline extended to April 7
There’s still time to submit a nomination for Distinguished Service Award!
HR has extended the deadline for submitting nominations for the annual Distinguished Service Award! Submit your nomination no later than Friday, April 7.
To make a nomination, please submit the Distinguished Service Award nomination form (available on HR Employee Portal) along with an essay about the nominee. The information provided in the essay will be the basis of the evaluation for the selection committee.

Get walking maps on HR Health and Wellness portal
Interested in getting outside on your lunch hour or for a quick afternoon break to enjoy some sunshine and fresh air? Visit the Health and Wellness tab on the HR portal to check out the Walking Maps. Each map provides a path with distance and can be adjusted to meet specific needs. An indoor map is also included. The health and wellness tab also includes Nutrition Tips for Improving Your Health.

Distinguished Service Award nominations due tomorrow
LLCC Human Resources is seeking nominations for the annual Distinguished Service Awards presented each year during the employee recognition ceremony. This award is given to LLCC employees who demonstrate exemplary leadership and service to the college community, promote a student-focused environment and exhibit a strong commitment to the college’s core values.
Recipients of the Distinguished Service Award will be selected from the nomination pool. The committee does not widen the pool beyond those nominations received, so your nomination is important! The selection committee is comprised of past recipients of the award and other members of the college community. All employment classifications are represented.

Updated information on Staff Training and Development Portal
The HR Staff Training and Development Portal has been updated. Through this portal upcoming workshops, current micro-learning opportunities and information from prior workshops can be found. This portal is available for all staff to utilize. Please explore the available professional development opportunities.
Additionally, Alan Pasley LLCC staff training and development coordinator, will be providing a workshop, “Leadership and Team Building,” on April 19 from 1-3 p.m. For registration, simply email Alan.Pasley@llcc.edu.

Come join the LEAGUE Circus!
All faculty and staff are invited to attend today’s kickoff of the annual faculty and staff giving campaign known as LEAGUE. Join the LEAGUE Committee in Cass Gym from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the following:
- Pick up your ticket for a complimentary lunch from one of the one of three food trucks and a ticket for mini donuts.
- Make your donation to the LEAGUE campaign at the kickoff if you choose or use this form. There are lots of great incentives based on the level of giving and drawings for great prizes.
- Recipients of the LEAGUE Grant awards will be announced.
- The Gamma Phi Circus from Illinois State University will be performing.
