What is InstructureCon?

InstructureCon is the yearly Canvas LMS user’s conference, offering numerous Canvas presentations, resources and networking opportunities with fellow Canvas educators and Canvas employees. Register to hear awesome guest keynote speakers and to learn more about ideas and best practices for using Canvas in instruction, Canvas product updates and more.

When is Virtual InstructureCon 2021?

InstructureCon 2021 will be held virtually on Oct. 7, 2021, and will consist of live and pre-recorded webinars by Canvas educators, employees and guest keynote speakers.

Is InstructureCon free?

Yes. InstructureCon is free but does require you to register with your email address.

Can I access the InstructureCon resources and webinars later if I am unavailable on Oct. 7?

Yes. If you cannot watch live, you will have access to these resources later with your free registration.

NISOD Fall Virtual Conference

NISOD Fall Virtual Conference October 20-22, 2021LLCC Academic Services has purchased an institutional license for NISOD’s Fall Virtual Conference to be held Oct. 20-22. The institutional registration allows all LLCC employees to register at no cost for this event.

Registering for the conference will provide access to 65 live sessions, three keynote sessions, over 40 on-demand sessions and countless opportunities to connect with colleagues throughout the event. In addition, you will have access for 12 months to watch sessions you may have missed during the live event.

All you need to do to participate without cost is register here using your college email address.

Word and Excel training

Looking to brush up your Word or Excel skills? LLCC-Medical District is offering Microsoft Office classes on Word and Excel this fall. All classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Sept. 8, 2021 – Excel 2016 Level 1
  • Sept. 9, 2021 – Word 2016 Level 1
  • Sept. 29, 2021 – Excel 2016 Level 2
  • Sept. 30, 2021 – Word 2016 Level 2
  • Oct. 13, 2021 – Excel 2016 Level 3

The Graded Content workshop provides an overview of the development of Canvas course content and setup of graded assignments that build out the course gradebook. Advanced features such as weighted grades will also be addressed. This session will include instructions on developing quizzes in Canvas, as well as a discussion on quiz settings, question types, and question banks.
