Open enrollment presentation today

The annual enrollment process for all benefit options is open through Thursday, June 9. Please thoroughly review the Benefit Guide emailed by HR on April 28. It provides an overview of provided benefits, including premium information for health and dental insurance for the plan year beginning July 1, 2022.

Open enrollment offers the opportunity to add, drop or change your benefits.  It is important that all benefit-eligible employees complete the open enrollment process to ensure that you have the coverage you need for FY2023.

If you would like to hear more about the college’s health insurance plans or have questions about benefits offered, a session will be held today at 10 a.m. in the Robert H. Stephens Room.

Employee Assistance Program and Self-Care

This is a stressful time of year for students as the semester draws to a close. Employees who work directly with students often find themselves helping to carry the emotional baggage that students carry. It’s important to recognize the toll that student stress may be taking on you. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an excellent tool to help with self-care in stressful circumstances, whether it is your own stress or the stress of those you are helping. Employees have access to six sessions, per participant, per issue, per calendar year. For more information, visit the HR Portal Page.

Summer hours approaching

LLCC will be closed on Fridays for 12 weeks beginning Friday, May 20, 2022 and ending on Friday, August 5, 2022. During this period, all full-time professional, administrative and classified benefit-eligible employees will be scheduled to work on a 36-hour per week basis.

  • Work schedules for all full-time employees will be based on a 36-hour week. Benefit-eligible employees who are normally scheduled to work 20 hours per week would be scheduled to work 18 hours, 30 hour per week employees would work 27 hours per week, etc.
  • Work schedules must include either an hour or half-hour unpaid meal period for those working 7.5 or more hours in a day.
