Thirty-four TRIO graduates were honored Friday night at the TRIO Graduation Ceremony with the TRIO stole. Dr. Charlotte Warren, LLCC president, welcomed the students, their family and friends. Alex Dean, student support specialist for the PATH, TRIO and WEI grant programs, was the TRIO Alumni Speaker. Sarah Scheufele, former retention specialist for TRIO at LLCC and current director of academic support at Illinois College, delivered the keynote address.

The week of Nov. 7 is First Generation Student Week. LLCC TRIO would like to recognize our first-gen staff and faculty for their accomplishments and indicate this to students and colleagues with a sign on office doors/desks.

Register for tomorrow’s TRIO 1st-Generation Celebration expert panel presentation
Don’t forget to register for the TRIO First-Generation Celebration expert panel on Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. in the R. H. Stephens Room. We will first hear from experts from the Council of Opportunity in Education, then LLCC TRIO staff will talk about serving first-gen students at LLCC.
