Thank you from Dr. Judy Jozaitis

I share this story (link below) because it was such a sharp contrast to the wonderful support I received from my Lincoln Land Community College family following the recent passing of my father.  Countless phone calls, texts, messages, thoughts, and prayers.  Beautiful flowers, touching cards, money, and food.  This is a kind institution, filled with good-hearted people.  Thank you all so very much.  You are truly appreciated. – Judy Jozaitis Thank you from Judy Jozaitis

10th Annual Multicultural Fest a success

IMG_4236The 10th Annual Multicultural Fest was a great success in its new location of the A. Lincoln Commons plaza. Students, faculty, staff and community members enjoyed entertainment including the headliner band, Xperimento, ethnic food and colorful displays. Restaurants, entertainers and exhibitors who have participated for five or more years were recognized in a ceremony, followed by the LLCC Madrigals. Entertainment was simulcast to ESAs who also had special activities.

Students of Professor Pam Bradley’s hybrid nursing class participated Wednesday, Oct. 2  in a disaster simulation held at the Illinois Air National Guard facilities as members of the Red Cross response team. Some students worked at the simulation site, assessing injuries and prescribing treatment, while others treated those with minor wounds at an off-site triage center set up at the local Salvation Army.

Thank you from Eileen Tepatti

It’s hard to know where to begin, so I will start from the bottom of my heart.  A sincere thank you to everybody for their expressions of sympathy to me and my family over the death of my brother, Jerry Melton.  It was a very difficult situation for his immediate family, mother, siblings, friends, colleagues, and students.  Whether you sent a card or email, stopped me in the hallway to say a kind word, attended the memorial service, sent a flower, plant, or remembrance, or offered up a quiet thought or prayer … I want you all to know how much your thoughtfulness is appreciated.  Thank you so much.
