Lesley Frederick, vice president, Student Services, was interviewed by WICS on the Illinois Veteran’s Grant and its cost to LLCC due to lack of funding from the state of Illinois.

NOTE: Due to an unfortunate camera angle taken by WICS, the three flagpoles in front of Menard look like one pole with the MIA flag on top. As we all know, there are three poles and our police department always follows proper flag etiquette.

Jim Ruppert, SJ-R sports editor, complimented the LLCC baseball fieldin the April 28 edition: “In my seemingly fruitless quest for the ultimate baseball park experience in Springfield, I have come upon what I have now deemed the best place for baseball in the city: Lincoln Land Community College’s Claude Kracik Field. The home of the Loggers has everything a local ballpark needs: the playing surface is well groomed and no longer holds water, the dugouts can accommodate both teams, there’s a place to park that’s safe, there’s a place to sit and watch, there’s a really good concession stand, there’s a terrific press box and the scenery is pretty nice too. They play good baseball at Kracik Field, too…”

The LLCC softball team was the subject of a profile on WICS and FOX 55 sports yesterday.

Judy Jozaitis, vice president, Workforce Development and Community Education, was interviewed by Sam Madonia on Sports Radio 1450 yesterday morning on Community Education, College for Kids and the Academy of Lifelong Learning.

Jessica Ingold, coordinator, youth services, was interviewed on WMAY this morning regarding College for Kids and Community Education.
