LLCC radiography students place second and third in recent competition

Two Lincoln Land Community College students in the associate degree radiography program were winners in the research paper and presentation competition at the Illinois State Society of Radiologic Technologists Annual Conference April 23-25 in Peoria.

Brittney Maus of Chestnut placed second for “Anencephaly” and third place was awarded to Mindy Himes of Pawnee for “Ovarian Cancer.” Both students received a certificate and monetary recognition.

Over 240 second year radiography students from Illinois attended the conference. Out of the papers submitted, two of the three students chosen to present were from LLCC.

In the News

Lesley Frederick, vice president, Student Services, was interviewed by WICS on the Illinois Veteran’s Grant and its cost to LLCC due to lack of funding from the state of Illinois.

NOTE: Due to an unfortunate camera angle taken by WICS, the three flagpoles in front of Menard look like one pole with the MIA flag on top. As we all know, there are three poles and our police department always follows proper flag etiquette.
