Join Bridget Rolens, a mindfulness-based stress reduction teacher, for the upcoming Mindfulness in the Workplace session.
Bridget notes that many wonder how “mindfulness” can help us deal with the stress we encounter at work? The answer lies in this definition of mindfulness: Mindfulness is consciously bringing awareness to our here-and-now experience with openness, interest and a willingness to be with what is.
In this workshop participants will:
- Identify stressful situations related to work and investigate what makes them stressful.
- Gain a general understanding of how mindfulness can help decrease stress at work.
- Engage in mindfulness exercises that support a reduction of stress in the workplace and in life in general.
Date: Thursday, Feb. 6
Time: 10-11 a.m.
Location: Robert H. Stephens Room
