Fun ways to kick off the spring semester

Lincoln Land Community College Student LifeLLCC Student Life and the Logger Activities Board invite faculty, staff and students to celebrate the beginning of the semester together. Reconnect with friends from the fall and meet some of the new faces on campus this spring! All of the events listed below will be held in A. Lincoln Commons.

Wednesday, Jan. 17, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Day of Service in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King
With a goal of assembling 200 PB&J sandwiches for PBJ Springfield and 15 no-sew fleece blankets for Project Linus, Loggers can do a lot of good work without leaving A. Lincoln Commons! Breakfast will be provided while supplies last (followed by other snacks).

Thursday, Jan. 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

What is Your Intention? Setting a Vision for 2024
Whether it’s a word for the year, a list of values or the traditional resolutions, get creative with the provided supplies! There will be magazines, paper, club, paint, markers and more. Plus, some prompts for anyone in need of a little help getting started!

Friday, Jan.19, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Let’s Get Poppin’!
It’s National Popcorn Day! Enjoy a salty (and maybe sweet) treat, and learn a few fun “kernels” of information about a fan favorite snack.

There will be be hot beverages available both prior to and after the day’s event. For a moment, you may even forget it’s freezing outside!
