La Loteria Mexicana (Mexican Bingo) — Loteria is the Spanish word for lottery. It is a bingo-style game of chance with colorful cards depicting Mexican history and culture. Join us for fun, prizes, Abuelita hot cocoa and an opportunity to learn Spanish words and yell “¡Ganador!” in the game of La Loteria!
The National Hispanic Heritage Month Committee is pleased to add to the already fantastic events planned. At the La Loteria today, Sept. 26, Esteban Cruz, chief information officer, will demonstrate how to make palomitas con chile. Samples will be available.
Thursday, Oct. 5
LLCC’s Student Government Association, SGA, is sponsoring a Jeans Day on Thursday, Oct. 5 to raise awareness and funds for SIAN: Springfield Immigrant Advocacy Network. Faculty and staff can wear jeans with a minimum donation of $5 to be paid in LLCC Student Life. A sticker will be given to those who donate.
