Help needed in identifying peer tutors

I need your help identifying potential peer tutors for the fall (and possibly summer) semester. Please think about current and past students you have worked with that you believe would make great additions to CAS’ peer tutoring team. You can share this job description with students you think would make great peer tutors, or have them reach out to me personally if they questions or would like more information.

I am seeking tutors in every subject area but especially in the following areas:

  • All math (especially students who have completed through Calc I)
  • CHE 102
  • BIO 175, 176 and 220
  • PHI 201
  • Political science
  • Geography
  • Psychology
  • Nursing

Please email me the names of students you would like to recommend, and I will follow up with them. Also, if you are interested in having a peer tutor embedded directly into a course you teach, please let me know. Embedded Support helps all students be more successful in their courses, and it also helps the peer tutors you recommend to get more guaranteed paid hours.

If you have any questions, suggestions, ideas, or need additional information about peer tutoring or embedded support at LLCC, please let me know. Thank you for collaborating with me to help maintain a robust and stellar peer tutor team to help all our students succeed.
