February Health and Wellness resources and opportunities

February is Heart Health Month

View the HR Portal’s Health and Wellness tab for heart health information including cholesterol facts and ways to care for your heart.

With high blood pressure being an important part of heart health, blood pressure checks will be offered to faculty and staff by the LLCC ADN and medic students throughout the month. Visit the Trutter Center lobby during one, or all, of the following sessions to learn about your blood pressure numbers, get heart health information and enjoy a wellness treat!

  • Thursday, Feb. 9, 2-4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Feb. 15, 9-11 a.m.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 21, 9-11 a.m.
  • Monday, Feb. 27, 1-3 p.m.

Another resource for Heart Health Month is the CDC’s campaign Live to the Beat. You can also watch the Live to the Beat educational videos featuring KevOnStage. Links to the first three episodes are available from the Health and Wellness tab.
