Mandatory trainings in November

Sexual harassment prevention training

In accordance with Board Policy 1.7 and the Illinois Human Rights Act, all employees, including adjunct instructors, student workers and other contractual, part-time and/or temporary employees, are required to complete sexual harassment prevention training on an annual basis. Training is administered online to provide a flexible format in which employees can complete the training and still accommodate their busy schedules. All employees were sent an email on Nov. 1 to their LLCC account from the college’s training provider, SafeColleges, with your unique link to complete the course.  You must have an active LLCC account to login into SafeColleges. If you have not activated your LLCC account, please contact the helpdesk at 217-786-2555 or helpme@llcc.edu for assistance. It takes approximately 40 minutes to complete the course. Completion of the course must be done within 30 days of receipt of the training email.

Cybersecurity awareness training

In addition, the first module of LLCC’s cybersecurity awareness training program for the 2022-2023 year began Nov. 1. An email was sent from Infosec IQ Notifications <notifications@securityiq-notifications.com> with the subject “Start your security awareness training.” The training entails a series of four short training courses and simulated phishing emails. The courses focus on data destruction, cloud security, business email compromise and clean desk policy. All employees are required to complete this training by Nov. 30. Failing to comply may result in loss of LLCC network access privileges and disciplinary action per board policy “8.6 – Employee Discipline.”
