September is the time that community agencies, colleges and universities, and hotlines work together to increase awareness about suicide and suicide prevention.
The LLCC Office of Student Success encourages you to learn more about suicide and suicide prevention and/or share information with your students.

If you, a student, friend or family member is struggling, please know there is support available. Anyone can call or text the new Suicide Prevention hotline at 988. View more information about 988. Get information about the protocol for students in crisis.
If you encounter a student who is struggling emotionally, please encourage them to use Talkspace, the tele-mental health service that LLCC partners with for mental health and wellness. Students were sent the information in a text and email the first week of classes, and there is also a Canvas announcement. As always, please encourage students to connect with their student success coach to provide support and/or resources.
If you are needing support as an employee, please remember that LLCC offers an Employee Assistive Program, EAP.
Thank you for all that you do for LLCC students!
