A large crowd attended the Professional Development Day keynote address by journalist and author Jefffrey Selingo, author of “College (Un)bound.” Later, faculty and staff discussed issues raised in his talk. Other sessions covered flipping the classroom, emotional intelligence, diversity, bullying, stress relief and other topics.
Speaking on behalf of the community giving campaign through United Way was LLCC student Brandon Von Liski, a client of SPARC, a United Way agency. He was happy to see one of his former professors, Dr. Claire Gordon, after his presentation.
