Bistro Verde, located in the Workforce Careers Center, will be open during the spring 2020 semester on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Feb. 4. It will operate through Thursday, March 5 and again from Thursday, March 26 through Thursday, April 23 with a full-service dining experience.
Reservations are strongly encouraged, and can be made by emailing bistroverde@llcc.edu, calling 786-2821 or stopping by the café during hours of business. Cash and debit or credit cards are accepted.
In the LLCC Culinary Arts program, part of a student’s learning experience is to run an actual working café that is open to the public. Hospitality degree-seeking students manage the dining room, while culinary arts students prepare all the orders. Baking and pastry students provide breads and desserts. Students gain practical hands-on experience and learn about providing diners with high quality food and service to create a memorable dining occasion.
